The Magnolia Quill celebrates the creativity and unique perspectives of artists and photographers throughout Southeast Georgia.

Whether captured through the lens of a camera or created with brush, pencil, charcoal, watercolor, digital media, or other artistic mediums, every image tells a story.

We welcome original works that reflect the beauty, people, landscapes, traditions, history, and spirit of our region, as well as creative works inspired by the world around us.

We strongly encourage artists and photographers to submit images with a discreet watermark if they have concerns about unauthorized online use.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions in the following categories:

• Photography

• Paintings

• Drawings

• Mixed Media

• Digital Art

• Printmaking

• Other Original Visual Artwork

Photography

Submit up to 5 images per submission.
JPEG or PNG format.
Minimum recommended width: 2000 pixels.
Brief description (optional).
Include location if appropriate.

Artwork

Submit up to 5 pieces per submission.
High-resolution JPEG or PNG images.
Include title, medium, dimensions, and year created.
Brief artist statement (optional).

Artists and photographers retain the copyright to their submitted work.

By submitting artwork or photography to The Magnolia Quill, you grant Magnolia Quill and Magnolia Press LLC permission to publish accepted work in the magazine, on our website, in our digital editions, on our social media platforms, and in promotional materials related to the publication, including our monthly Through the Lens feature or creative challenges, unless otherwise requested in writing.

While we respect and work to protect the rights of our contributors, the internet is a public space. Once an image has been published online, unauthorized copying, downloading, sharing, or misuse by third parties is possible. Although we take reasonable steps to discourage unauthorized use, Magnolia Quill and Magnolia Press LLC cannot control or prevent the actions of others and cannot be held responsible or liable for unauthorized use of submitted artwork or photographs by third parties.

Submission of artwork or photography constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
